From your first day, you will have a welcome team within the Tutoring Plan that is designed to help you adapt to the University.
Each academic year you will have a tutor to whom you may refer when perhaps requiring advice. They are usually Faculty lecturers who teach subjects in that particular year of study.
Tutors’ duties
Your tutor is the person who will assess you individually or as a group on academic, personal and/or professional aspects. Tutors act as an interlocutor with the Dean's Office, the Secretariat and the rest of the academic staff. They also manage and collaborate in actions aimed at helping you improve in the Faculty.
Your tutor will be, ultimately, the person you can turn to when you have a problem or concern of any kind (learning, personal issues affecting your academic performance, new initiatives, proposals for improvement, etc.).
Academic tutorials
Lecturers are responsible for holding academic tutorials on the subjects they teach. These meetings focus on answering queries or issues concerning understanding the subject matter or guidance and follow up on projects and assignments.
See your lecturers’ office hours and the room number on the academic staff profiles.
