.Juan Manuel López Garde received his MSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of the Basque Country, Spain, in 1993. He has a working experience of almost ten years in LABEIN-TECNALIA and ERICSSON. He worked in different projects, developing test systems for communication equipment. He also worked as Project Manager, coordinating international projects of technological and production transfer. In 2003, he joined the Telecommunications Department of the University of Deusto, Bilbao, Spain, where he lectures in Electronics, Statistics and Differential Equations courses. He also is with Deustotech – Deusto Institute of Technology. His main research areas are related to textile antennas, smart antenna design and characterization, and wireless sensor networks. He has participated in a number of national and international research projects. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree on textile antennas.
