The University' s raison d'être is that of a project born out of the commitment of people for people. In a spirit of welcome, openness and plurality, this is our specific contribution as a university of the Church in today's society.

The University aligns itself with the Code of Conduct of the Society of Jesus in Spain, as well as with the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for Researcher Recruitment in our centres.

Motivating and involving people
from the various groups and teams in the key areas of the university's mission in the fields of teaching, research, social transfer and service to the community, as a shared responsibility. Each function and task has its meaning and contribution to the best professional performance.

Taking special care of the processes
of integration, welcome and accompaniment of the people who join the Deusto project, in accordance with the varying profiles and roles to be carried out and consistent with the university's own values and the aforementioned mission areas.

Promoting training and personal development plans
in the different areas of activity and for the different groups, with new offerings that can respond to the needs and demands. Developing the competences required for each role and task based on the evaluations and observations of the people responsible for areas and departments, as well as on the self-evaluations or requests from each person.

for personal, professional and community development for the various groups so that promotion and career plans can be defined and developed.

Equality, work-life balance, health, inclusion and workplace health. It is in line with the values of justice, humanism, sustainability and contribution to social transformation. Relying on the university community, we will continue to promote active policies and measures to make Deusto a socially responsible and committed community.
