Confebask annually develops different calls for grants, under the European Erasmus+ Programme, so that UNIVERSITY STUDENTS and/or RECENT UNIVERSITY GRADUATES (both bachelor's and master's degrees) enrolled in the three universities of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU, University of Deusto and Mondragon Unibertsitatea), can carry out an internship in international companies, with the aim of obtaining a first experience in the working world.

The grants are aimed at universities, university centres and higher centres of artistic and sports education located in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country with international mobility programmes.

The University of Deusto is one of the universities that have signed a collaboration agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAUC), European Union and Cooperation for internships in Central Services (Madrid) or in MAUC representations abroad.

Traineeships in Embassies and Consulates are not remunerated. However, for those countries belonging to the Erasmus+ area, it is possible to apply for the Erasmus+ Internship Grant.

• Duration:

Stays of approximately three months.

• When they take place: 

Summer (from 1st July to 30th September) - Embassies and Consulates

1st term (from 1st October to 31st January) - Central Services and Representations abroad

2nd term (from 1st February to 31st May) - Central Services and Representations abroad

• Approximate dates of publication of the calls:

Summer call: end of February

1st term call: end of April 

2nd term call: end of August

This programme is designed to enable students from the European Union to do industrial internships in Japanese companies. Specifically, the Vulcanus scholarships are aimed each year at students who are enrolled between the fourth official year of studies and the penultimate year of their doctorate in an engineering or scientific degree.

The programme is funded by the EU-Japan Industrial Cooperation Centre and the host Japanese company and each participant receives a grant to cover travel and living expenses to and from Japan. The University of Deusto does not manage these grants, it is up to the student to collect the information and make the application.
