Studying online at the University of Deusto will allow students to manage their learning in the way that best suits their time wherever they want, without reducing the demands of quality education.
The University of Deusto's online education model has been carefully designed to ensure students' learning and competence development. It is based on UD’s educational framework and the UD Education Model(MFUD). This same model is used for on campus teaching (MAUD), but taking advantage of the possibilities offered by the online environment.
Our priority is for students to feel supported. Students will develop a close and ongoing relationship with the teaching staff and a tutor, who will advise and guide them on a one-to-one basis throughout the degree course.
Based on applied cases and situations that allow us to put into practice what we are working on. A model that will help students to boost their professional development from the very beginning.
Based on our own Teaching-Learning Model, recognised for its quality and tradition and awarded internationally. Online education with the guarantee of an internationally renowned campus-based university.
A carefully designed model to help students organise their study time and get the most out of their work. A balance between autonomous work and opportunities to learn with others.
An intuitive and dynamic platform. Designed to facilitate the experience of online learning, enhancing interaction between students and making use of attractive tools and materials.
Specifically designed for the online context. Drawing on research in this area, together with 20 years of experience in online teaching and ongoing feedback from students, experts in online teaching have developed an innovative methodology specifically designed to help students learn in greater depth, develop their skills to plan their work and enjoy the learning process.
Students will be part of the Deusto community. You will have the option to participate in extracurricular activities online. In addition to your online experience, you will have the opportunity to come to our physical campuses and use our facilities and services (e.g. library and study spaces, sports centre, cultural activities, graduation events…).
01
At this initial stage students are presented with the scenario (challenge, problem, case…) that they will have to solve throughout the unit. This initial situation will enable students to be aware of the practical orientation of the subject matter and to relate it to their previous knowledge. This will provide the challenge to be solved that will guide them in their learning process throughout the unit.
02
This short activity is aimed at engaging students in the topic to be worked on and helping them to successfully approach the task that has been presented in the previous phase. This phase will serve to trigger their curiosity about the subject matter and to learn to self-regulate their learning.
03
Students will use the resources made available to them in different formats (videos, readings, games, simulators, etc.) to learn the concepts in the unit and solve the task proposed in the initial phase.
04
Students will address the situation (case study, problem, project, etc.) set out in the "Put yourself in the picture" phase, following the planning they have done in "Set your goals", and using the resources in "Research".
05
Students will receive feedback from their peers and teachers during the development of the unit. In addition, they will have the opportunity to reflect on their learning and the process to improve their skills as an online learner. They will also have the possibility to rate their satisfaction with the unit.
