Towards specialisation
The University’s Institutes are centres created to promote research and conduct teaching activities aimed specialisation in the higher cycles taught in the Faculties, the improvement of a specific area of knowledge or special professional training.
The Institutes may belong to a Faculty or be directly affiliated to the University through Deusto Foundation.
Human rights
Its main raison d'être is to work for a culture of human rights, with a strong social and international vocation.
DeustoTech
DeustoTech carries out applied research mainly in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
DeustoPsych
Specialising in the field of Psychology and Health, DeustoPsych offers psychological assistance, promoting development and innovation in the various activities.
Drug dependencies
Interdisciplinary institute that works in a specific area of knowledge: drugs and addictions. They also deal with areas related to the phenomenon of drugs.
Cooperative studies
The Institute was set up with an orientation of service to society and offers study programmes that enable research in cooperativism to be addressed.
Leisure studies
Committed to the development of active citizens and research excellence that promotes human development.
Basque studies
The Institute of Basque Studies aims to promote the research line "Socio-cultural transformations in the Basque context".
Applied ethics
It analyses and encourages practices that promote social justice, people's dignity and their right to participate fully in social, political and economic life.
Orkestra
Its activity focuses on the study of competitiveness and territorial development from its different lines of research.
