Jone Goirigolzarri Garaizar holds a BA in Sociology and Socio-Cultural Anthropology from the University of Deusto, and PhD in Social Sciencies from the same university. She is currently Lecturer at the University of Deusto, where she teaches at the Bilbao campus. Jone Goirigolzarri Garaizar teaches BA courses on Social Work and Social Education. Specifically, she teaches the following subjects in Bachelor level in Basque: General Sociology, Social Structure and Social Change and Public Policy Observatory. Her publications mainly focus on language policy and sociolinguistics. Currently she is carrying out her PhD on language policy and language ideology. Jone Goirigolzarri Garaizar is part of the Social Values research team (Team A).
