iñigo calvo sotomayor

PhD in Economics and Business - University of Deusto and postgraduate in International Relations - Catholic University of Leuven, he is a Associate Professor and researcher at the Department of Management at Deusto Business School, as well as co-Editor in Chief of the scientific journal Boletín de Estudios Económicos and the Deusto Business Open Alumni platform. Member of the HUME Research Group, his research focuses on the economics of aging and economic analysis. Complementary to his academic activity, Iñigo is member of the Board of Directors of Kutxabank since 2022, where he is a also member of its Audit Committee and Investment Committee. In addition, he is member of the Board of Directors of Deusto Business Alumni, the Board of Directors of the Basque Group of the Club of Rome and Marshall Memorial Fellow '17. His previous professional experience includes positions at Deloitte, the management of the Economic Office of the Lehendakaritza-Presidency of the Basque Government, and the Board of Trustees of the BBK Banking Foundation. His academic activity is concentrated in the ADE+DED, ADE+DER, RRII and RRII DER degrees, as well as in the EIBM Master. He has also been a visiting professor at the Czech University of Life Sciences (Prague, Czech Republic) and the University of Belgrade (Belgrade, Serbia).
