PhD in International Relations. Lecturer in International Relations, Geopolitics and Peace building and Humanitarian Action and researcher at the Institute of Human Rights of the University of Deusto. Director of the NOHA Erasmus Mundus Master in International Humanitarian Action and NOHA Master Consortium Coordinator since 2004. Her main areas of research include European foreign policy and humanitarian action by the EU, human security, humanitarian intervention, conflict prevention and peace building. He has published extensively in these areas and has participated in various research projects on the European Union's reaction to humanitarian crises and the international role of the European Union fianced by national and international institutions.
