If you like languages and want to make them the focus of your career, if you enjoy learning about and experiencing other cultures, if you want to pursue an international career that requires English, … this degree is a good fit for you.
This degree is for students who like languages and would like to make them their future working tool. If you enjoy other cultures and their languages and participate in them actively; or if you want to work in the international world, this programme is an excellent option.
The main objective of this degree is to ensure you acquire advanced skills in modern languages in order to enter the international job market.
You will attain an advanced level in English, Spanish and Basque, as well as a good grounding in a second foreign language such as German, French or Chinese.
The Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages has obtained Unibasq's (Quality Agency of the Basque University System) recognition for internationalisation.

Dr María Jesús Pando, coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages, tells us about the degree, and gives us an overview of the course syllabus, career opportunities, mobility scheme, internships and student profile.
We have been adapting our programmes to new professional profiles since 1886.
You will do an internship at a company, institution or school.
You will have the opportunity to study for one or two semesters at another international university.
This provides an ideal environment for cultural and language exchanges.

The degree provides students with a rich cultural and grammatical background and encourages them to expand their horizons by offering them the opportunity to study abroad for a year.
I chose Deusto because no other Basque university offers a degree like it, with a focus on literature and languages, in addition to linguistics and its more theoretical aspects, such as grammar.

I feel I have chosen the degree I was looking for. In this degree you study languages based on history, culture, linguistics and literature. It is a very complete and varied degree, with very diverse professional opportunities.
