Progress towards this horizon requires cooperation with organisations and institutions committed to the same goal, especially those formed by excluded social groups and those that legitimately represent their interests.

The Solidarity and Cooperation for Social Justice Plan is linked to the global commitments contained in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the call of Pope Francis' Encyclical Letter Laudato Sion care for the common home, which express the need to understand the interconnectedness of the different processes that generate exclusion and inequality, and to closely link the local with the global.
At the university level, the principles of the Rome Declaration of 2014and the CRUE guidelines regarding the role of the University in cooperationpolicies are taken on board.

This survey generates useful and applied knowledge on the social, economic and political situation of the Basque Country, giving visibility to issues mainly related to inequalities and social welfare.
This service promotes a socially responsive and active solidarity through training, collaboration with different NGOs and social entities, seminars in the field and international work camps.
We promote volunteering in different social organisations in Biscay and Gipuzkoa, and run international experiences in countries such as Peru, Chile, Brazil, Kenya, Mexico and Tanzania.
This practice run by Deusto Law School works with social entities to make students aware of their capacity to transform reality, promoting social justice and equity.
We run awareness-raising activities for the entire university community throughout the academic year: conferences, events and information campaigns.
Welcoming the diversity of our societies as an asset enables the exercise of citizenship. We work so that people with disabilities, mental health problems and temporary disabilities can develop personally, be academically successful, enter the labour market and participate in social life.
