The Bachelor’s degree ends with the development of an Undergraduate Final Year Project, which will allow you to combine everything you have learnt throughout your studies in a project of your choice, while developing skills such as oral and written communication, systemic thinking and achievement orientation.

It is carried out during the second semester of 4th year, preferably in a team and under the supervision of a tutor. You can choose between several options:

    • Business creation project: development of a business plan based on a business idea proposed by students or, failing that, by a group of external entrepreneurs.
    • A project to improve the management of an existing company: anin-depth analysis of an active company with the aim of making feasible proposals to improve its competitiveness.
    • Specific project: development of a specific research or communication project in a specific area of a company.

Experiencia internacionalLIVING AND STUDYING IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY

    ONE SEMESTER ABROAD

The International Programme gives all students the opportunity to study an exchange semester abroad. This experience allows them to live and study in a foreign country and gives them the opportunity to get to know new cultures, improve their language skills and learn to adapt to new environments.

    MORE THAN 100 UNIVERSITIES

We have exchange agreements with more than 100 universities in some 40 countries around the world.

    International Double Degree

Thanks to the agreement signed with Kedge Business School, the faculty offers the possibility to study the last three semesters of the degree at this French university and thus obtain an international double degree (limited places, allocated according to academic criteria).

    During the entire 4th year

    Dual pathway

In your 4th year you will have the option to take a dual pathway in a company for the entire academic year. In it you will have the opportunity to work on different projects related to business management (marketing, finance, human resources, strategy...) in an immersive way.

You will be trained in a simultaneous and integrated way both at the University and in the host company, thanks to the joint work of the actors involved in this dual ecosystem. You will play an active role in your learning process, which will be monitored and assessed by both parties. You will have a facilitator at the university and a facilitator at the host company.

The programme has 15 dual places on each university campus. These will be allocated through a selection process, subject to a minimum number of students.

Candidates will be selected based on the following criteria:

    • Academic transcript
    • Curriculum vitae (free format)
    • A specific letter of motivation stating their reasons to participate in the dual pathway
    • A personal interview with the pathway coordinator

Find out the assessment criteria here

    • You will participate in a co-creation process based on direct immersion in the company.
    • You will benefit from continued immersion in the host company for the entire academic year.
    • You will acquire theoretical and practical training (testing and direct application).
    • You will receive the minimum wage pro rata for the work performed in the company, based on the working hours and the collaboration agreement.
    • Early entry into the labour market, you will get to know the company and the projects before finishing your degree.
    • You will have guidance from both the Faculty and the host company.

Collaborating entities will participate both in the design and implementation of the pathway in different ways, and will take an active part in participants’ training process.

Specifically, there will be an agreement between the University and the host companies to plan the pathway jointly.

The very methodology that will be applied in the pathway, Design Thinking, demonstrates the importance of the role of collaborating entities in defining the learning process of the pathway in a cooperative and coordinated way.

It should also be noted that the facilitators designated by both the university and the host company will jointly supervise and assess students' progress throughout the process.

Coordinator of the dual pathway at the University of Deusto.  They will be responsible for coordinating the general terms of the dual stage of the programme to ensure that it will be developed under the relevant terms and with the means required for the development of participants' competences. They will manage the day-to-day running of the dual pathway, maintaining contact with the coordinators and/or facilitators at host companies, the facilitators at the University of Deusto, internal and external teaching staff and participants.

Coordinator of the dual programme on behalf of the collaborating entity or company. Each entity participating in the pathway programme will have a coordinator responsible for coordinating the general terms of the placement at the host company, together with the Dual Pathway Coordinator.

Facilitators at collaborating entities. Each participating company or institution must designate a tutor to supervise the progress of student interns. The facilitator will be an expert from the organisation in the area of competence of the specific subject to be developed within the framework of the Dual Pathway in Strategic Management and with accredited work experience. The facilitator will be in direct contact with the University facilitator.

Academic facilitators at the University of Deusto. They will be lecturers at the University of Deusto who are experts in the subjects that make up the dual pathway.

Lecturers of the subject taught in dual mode. They will be lecturers at the University, experts in the area of competence being developed by the participant at any given time. In cases where the lecturer considers it appropriate, external lecturers and/or experts will be invited

As part of the implementation of the dual pathway, a JOINT COMMITTEE has been defined, consisting of representatives from the University and the host companies. This coordinating body will ensure the proper development of the dual training process, identifying problems, proposing solutions and monitoring improvement actions.
