    International double degree programme

    During the 4th year of your Bachelor's degree, you will have the option to take this international programme leading to the award of an international Master's degree during your one-year stay at a university in USA.

    A well-rounded programme

    You will gain two degrees in 4 years: a Bachelor’s degree in Law and an LLM (Master of Laws). The first three years are taken at Deusto (Bilbao Campus) and the entire fourth year at a university in USA.

    What is an LLM?

    LLM(Master of Laws) is the name given in the English-speaking world to postgraduate law programmes. It is not an official Master's degree, nor does it provide access to the legal profession, although it does facilitate preparation for access to the legal profession in some American states.

    Pursuing an LLM offers intensive and international excellence in legal training. You will be able to take part in a mobility scheme and study at some of the leading universities in the U.S. such as: Tulane Law School (New Orleans), Fordham Law School (New York) and Brooklyn Law School (New York).

    ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

    • Excellent academic record (top 30 of the graduating class)
    • High level of English, as determined by the host university (e.g. Tulane Law School requires IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL (IBT) 88).

    ADMISSIONS PROCESS

    • The student's decision to take the LLM is made in the third year.
    • Places at each American host university are limited.

    • Skills for International Lawyers (SIL) (18 ECTS in English). We recommend that you take this degree.
