In the Double Degree in Primary Education + Early Childhood Education, professional practice is compulsory and an essential part of the curriculum. In the case of Primary Education, internships are held throughout 2nd and 4th years and are worth 42 ECTS credits. In Childhood Education, on the other hand, internships are held in5thº year and will be worth18 ECTS credits.
In second year, students will undertake an internship as a classroom teacher/tutor.
In the fourth and fifth years, students will combine this with an internship more related to their specialisation.
This is a comprehensive and systematic training plan where each student is assigned two personal tutors to support their learning: one from the internship centre and another from the University.
The Faculty offers internship opportunities in various educational institutions across the Basque Country: public, semi-private, and private.

In Early Childhood Education, you will pursue the specialisation in Early Childhood Education and Psychomotor Development, which will prepare you for specialising in educational intervention for the early years of life.
If you choose the Physical Education specialisation, you will be able to work as a Physical Education teacher, as well as a children's sports instructor in schools, sports centres, or gyms.
If you choose the Hearing and Language specialisation, your role will be to promote and develop the prevention of specific language and communication disorders. You will also support students with these specific difficulties by enhancing their communication and language skills.
