    Year 1

    You will study the fundamentals of Business Management (Accounting, Business…) and International Relations (Introduction to International Relations, Research Design...) and you will begin to understand how a company operates in an international context.

    Year 2 - Year 3

    You will continue to learn about the different management tools (financial accounting, management control…) and the concepts of economics (micro and macroeconomics…). All this from an international perspective in which you will focus on more technical aspects of the subject (Public International Law, Geopolitics, International Trade...) as you get to know the main political and institutional systems on a global scale.

    Year 4

    You will be able to develop business strategy and understand different business models, as well as manage different departments. You will also gain further insight into the complexity of international relations. During the summer, you will do an internship in a company that will bring you closer to the labour market.

    Year 5

    During the first semester you will undertake a period of study abroad, where you will broaden your knowledge in the regional studies area. In this last year, you will be required to do two Undergraduate Final Year Projects, one in the management area and another in the international relations area.

    A semester abroad

    The International Programme gives all students the opportunity to study an exchange semester abroad. This experience allows them to live and study in a foreign country and gives them the opportunity to get to know new cultures, improve their language skills and learn to adapt to new environments.

    *International Mobility (compulsory)

    35 countries worldwide

    You will be able to choose from more than 90 university destinations in one of the 35 countries with which there have exchange agreements in the International Relations area. Find out the list of destinations available.

     

    When?

    Students will take part in the international mobility programme in their 5th year of study. Students will study and gain an understanding of the main features of the history, culture, politics or economy of the region in which they are based for one semester.

    Putting into practice what you have learntUndergraduate Final Year Projects

    Two undergraduate final year projects

    The double degree ends with the development of two Undergraduate Final Year Projects, one in the field of business administration and another in computer engineering.

    They will allow you to bring together everything you have learnt during your studies, while developing skills such as oral and written communication, systems thinking and achievement orientation. 

    Both projects are carried out during the second semester of 5th year under the supervision of a tutor. You can choose between several options: 

    Business Administration and Management project

    • Business creation project: development of a business plan based on a business idea proposed by students or, failing that, by a group of external entrepreneurs. 
    • A project to improve the management of an existing company: anin-depth analysis of an active company with the aim of making feasible proposals to improve its competitiveness. 
    • Country/study project: anin-depth analysis of the business opportunities that a specific country can offer to companies in our community. 
    • Specific project: development of a specific research or communication project in a specific area of a company.

    The importance of languages

    A degree programme taught mainly in English that will allow you to develop your professional skills in an international environment.

    *At the Bilbao campus, both the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management and the International Relations degree are taught entirely in English

    *At the San Sebastian campus, you can choose to study the double degree in two (spanish-english) or three languages (spanish-english-basque).

    • To access first year: A B2 level is required for access to the first year of the double degree. This must be demonstrated through the formal achievement of a specific qualification.
    • Before completing your studies: A C1 level in English is required before completing your studies and a B1 level in a second foreign language (French, German or Chinese).

    French, German, Chinese, Italian... ¿Do you want tolearn a new language or make further progress in a language you already know? Deusto’s Language Centre offers specific courses for students which are adapted to their levels and timetables. It is also a HABE-approved euskaltegi centre and an approved examination centre for Cambridge and Goethe-Institut, among others.
