The Equality Unit kicks off the Community of Practice “Intersectionality for Change”

The Equality Unit held on October 3 at the University a meeting for the kick-off of the Community of Practice “Intersectionality for Change”, as part of the European INSPIRE project. The event, which was attended by 7 European and Chilean universities, was an opportunity to reflect on intersectionality in the university context and to advance its incorporation in equality policies, as well as in research and teaching. The event concluded with a feminist tour of Bilbao.

Likewise, the coordinators of the mentioned Community of Practice, Ainhoa Arostegui and Mirelur González, attended the "Knowledge Exchange Event" on September 27, an event that took place in Vienna and in which they worked on the practical incorporation of inclusive gender equality in research and innovation, from an intersectional perspective.
