Under the new syllabus, this course aims to train and prepare future teachers of religious education in schools at infant and primary level, to ensure they can provide high quality Catholic religious and moral education.
According to the Agreement of the 89th Plenary Assembly of the Spanish Episcopal Conference on the new regulation of the Ecclesiastical Declaration of Suitability (DEI) for the appointment of Catholic Religion teachers, it is necessary to hold the Ecclesiastical Declaration of Academic Competence (DECA)certificate to obtain it. This academic certificate requires a total of 24 ECTS hours.
