Master's final project

Introduction

As this Master's Degree has a professional and largely practical nature, the Project will consist of an academically supervised report on a practical case (a practical legal case) that has been used as part of the learning process during the "external internships".

In the Master’s project, students will be required to demonstrate they have acquired the knowledge, skills and attitude that practising lawyers must use when handling cases, both from a legal perspective (substantive and procedural) and an ethical perspective.

Competences that must be demonstrated in the final project:

Ability to search for and select sources of a different nature related to the work to be carried out.
Bibliography with relevant sources and case law
Appropriate approach to doctrine
Formulate the proper hypotheses for procedural legal issues
Find answers to the identified problems in compliance with the specialist legal field
Identify the tools and procedures necessary to solve them

The Master's Thesis typically involves the following steps:

Choose a topic included in the external internship and proposal to the tutor in charge of the subject. Special care must be taken to ensure that no professional secrets are disclosed.
Draft a reasoned response with a tutorial training session
Obtain approval of the proposal from the tutor. If the proposal is rejected, there will be a second attempt.
There will be tutorials to solve any queries and recommend attendance at conferences or congresses that may be of interest for the work to be carried out.
Students should engage in relevant readings to gain a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
Submit and present the paper to their tutor, who must approve it before it can be publicly defended.
