The Master's degree in Automation, Electronics and Control Engineering intends to equip students with the competences that modern industry demands of their sector professionals.

What is first and foremost to be successful in one's university studies is the student. Their interest, competence and attitude are essential and cannot be replaced by others at university. The programme is student-centred, with the job market in the background.

Nevertheless, the University of Deusto is aware of the current work and industrial environment and the lecturers are experts on the technologies they teach, both due to their personal interest and because they are trained by sector firms.

This Master's programme has a high technological content and therefore the equipment and laboratories are critical to training our students.

The three components mentioned above- students + lecturers + laboratories- converge in the classroom with the Project-Based Learning (PBL)approach. This practical method aims to teach by working together on a real-life practical project. The student
tackles small technical issues from the global approach of a project which involves one or more subjects under the joint coordination of the lecturers.  

PBL is used as a successful strategy at leading universities in the US and Europe.
