The most important and critical element for a successful university education is the student body. Their interest, competence and attitude are irreplaceable by others at the university. Students are the key actors in their education, with the labour market in the background.

On the other hand, the University of Deusto knows the labour and industrial reality around it, and on the other hand, the lecturers are experts in the technologies they teach, both because of their personal interest and because they receive training from companies in the sector.

In addition, specifically this Master’s course has a high technological component, and therefore the
equipment and laboratories are essential in students’ training.

The three elements above - students + lecturers + laboratories - are integrated in the classroom under the Project Based Learning (PBL)approach. The focus of this teaching practice is teaching based on a real practical project in a collaborative way. Students will be required to
tackle small technical issues from the global approach of a project where one or more subjects work together under the lecturers’ coordination. 

PBL is a strategy used successfully in leading universities in the USA and Europe.
