Law + Communication

What will you study?

Organising society

You will understand the vision of social reality that the field of law, legislation and political institutions provide…

You will understand lawyers' priorities when creating and defending the rule of law and individual freedoms and rights.

Solving problems

You will be capable of analysing reality from other perspectives, such as: public opinion, different ideological approaches or the view of the media.

New technologies law

You will have a legal training that will provide you with the skills to offer legal advice and legal analysis in the field of public institutions, private bodies and in the communication sector.

Journalism and legal communication

You will be in a position to produce journalistic messages, articles and reports in any medium; you will meet the communication needs of an institution, political party, company, etc., and will develop interpersonal communication skills. You will also learn how to work in a multimedia and digital environment.

Theory pills

On campus and online classeson digital law taught by legal specialists. Intellectual property, cybersecurity, e-commerce, data protection, fundamental rights and freedoms in the digital environment and telecommunications law.

Study abroad

You will develop external projects visiting companies such as, Iurismática Abogados, Salvador Orlando Abogados, Euskaltel, Globernance, Lawyou, Sayma Consultores, Mutualia Seguros (legal department), Seinale, Club Baloncesto GBC (legal department) and Thomson Reuters Aranzadi.

Active learning

In addition to theory classes, you will carry out activities such as the Legal Blog "Comunicar el Derecho", specialised Legal Clinic with social entities, participation in Digital Law activities, experiential visits to Legal Documentation and Data Protection Centres and Community Managerexperiences.

Undergraduate Final Year Project

You will be required to draw up two intervention and research projects, and defend them before a panel. You will be required to write a Final Year Project in Law and another for the BA in Communication. Successful completion will prove that students are capable of applying their knowledge.
