    About the Programme

    Deusto Orthodontic Programme (DOP) meets the requirements of the European guidelines for the recognition of the Orthodontics specialty. These guidelines are contained in the Network of Erasmus Based European Orthodontic Programs (Nebeop).

    This is a comprehensive programme that encompasses both theory and practice, including diagnosis and monitoring of cases through to their completion. The model we present is made up of two consecutive Masters’ degrees (Continuing Education) and Advanced Training in Orthodontics, which is taken concurrently with the second one:

    • Clinical Master’s Degree in Orthodontics (Continuing Education)
    • Master’s Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics (Continuing Education)
    • Advanced Training in Orthodontics

    Course fees: 18.500 € /year.

    An interdisciplinary teaching team with extensive teaching and clinical experience. You will find teaching staff from different geographical areas, ages and backgrounds so that you can benefit from the diversityin the sector. All of them have outstanding scientific rigour and a university nature.

    Compatible with professional activity

    Face-to-face classes 1 week per month,and additional training to be carried out each day for the remaining days. In this way, students can continue their development in patient care as healthcare professionals and broaden their knowledge of Dentistry and Orthodontics.

    Adapted to the European Orthodontics Specialty Training Curriculum (192 ECTS)

    In only 3 years, you will gain full training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, and you will earn a Master's degree worth 192 ECTS, based on the European Specialty Curriculum.

    Clinical practice

    Students on the Master's programme will carry out clinical practice with patientsin the state-of-the-art facilities of theIMQ group(more than 50% of the total number of hours) right from the start of the course.

    An orthodontic treatment requires a correct diagnosis, the application of appropriate mechanics and a thorough understanding of the biological principles of tooth movement and bone response to orthodontic forces.
