One of the cornerstones of Deusto's own education model is active experimentation. Learning requires, in addition to theoretical knowledge, putting all competences and skills into practice, which is why work placements are of particular importance in this degree.
During your 4th year, you will do an internship at a social work centre, which will allow you to get a closer look at the problems around us. We have collaboration agreements with a large number of intervention centres and the number of centres on offer is increasing every year. Your internship will be supervised and coordinated by the host centre and the university.
Internship centres:

They intervene with different groups: homeless people, immigrants, people with mental health problems and other illnesses, women in prostitution, people deprived of their liberty or released from prison, drug addicts...
Social services specialising in children and families, the elderly, people with disabilities, people in a situation of serious social exclusion...
Residential services, day and home care services, case management services in insurance companies, social expertise..
Social Work services within the health network, both in primary care services and specialised services.
Psychosocial teams in courts, Juvenile centres, Penitentiary centres, Victim care services...
