Internationalisation, multidisciplinarity and multilingualism are three key pillars for the professionals of the future, which is why, in your 3rd º year of study, you will have the opportunity to complete your training at another international university.

Deusto stands out for its extensive experience in international exchange programmes and this experience has allowed us to establish relationships with international universities
At the host university you will take subjects previously agreed with your tutor at Deusto. During your international stay, at the University of Deusto we will closely monitor each student’s progress. We have an international department that will help and support you throughout the whole process.
The experience of living and studying in a foreign country will help you both to learn the country’s customs and will give you the opportunity to:
- Open your mind to different cultures
- Strengthen social skills
- Develop language skills
- Be flexible and adapt to new situations

During the 2nd semester of the 4th year, you will develop a communication or research projectsupervised by a tutor. It will allow you to combine everything you have learnt throughout your studies in a project of your choice. It is compulsory and is presented and defended in public.
You will have to choose a topic from the following catalogue to prepare the final project, which you can write in Spanish, Basque or English.
I would encourage everyone to have an international experience like mine; it gave me a more tolerant multicultural perspective, which is essential if you want to be a professional in the globalised world.
Going to Santa Clara University in California was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. It was not easy; I had a lot of doubts. However, once the challenge is over, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
I encourage everyone to take the subjects in the three languages offered by the degree (Basque - Spanish - English), as it broadens your knowledge and you learn to get by in a different language.
I have studied communication from a practical and close approach with people and I have discovered welcoming people who have made me grow as a person and discover myself.
I loved the class atmosphere; they helped us with any problems and adapting was easy. It has helped me both academically and personally. It has changed the way I think
