The University of Deusto has improved its positioning in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, which include more than 1,500 universities across 93 countries and regions. DEUSTO is in the 601-800 ranking strip, moving from the 2019 position (801-1000). The improvement in this year’s edition has come hand in hand with the notable increase in scientific publications and citations.

The rector, José María Guibert, has demonstrated his special satisfaction for this new international recognition to the University of Deusto: “This is excellent news to start the academic course. It is a recognition of our academic and training model, research quality and production, as well as our orientation towards social impact and our innovation capacity. Being a reference in the world is undoubtedly the best award for work and excellence in the day-to-day life of the entire university community, especially in a difficult and complex situation like the current one”.

The ranking assesses five dimensions: teaching, internationalisation, research, citations and interaction with the industry.
