The University of Deusto will celebrate the inauguration of the new academic year 2024-2025 next wednesday, 25th September, at its campus in San Sebastian. The ceremony will begin at 12:00 noon, in the Loiola Centrum, after a Eucharist at 10:30 am, presided over by the Bishop of San Sebastian, Fernando Prado.
The events will begin with the reading of the academic report for the academic year 2023-2024, by the Secretary General, Stella Solernou. This will be followed by the Inaugural Lecture entitled: ‘Rootedness: lever of synergies between people, business and territory’, by Cristina Iturrioz-Landart, professor at Deusto Business School.
The ceremony will continue with a speech by the Rector Juan José Etxeberria and will end with a speech by the Lehendakari of the Basque Government, Imanol Pradales.
