    The programme focuses on the research responses to social justice challenges, concentrating on the three areas in which the research groups linked to the PhD programme are working: Human Rights, Social Values and Ethics applied to social reality

    Deusto Social Values

    Ethics Applied to Social Reality

    Research team attached to the Human Rights Institute at the University of Deusto as a reference centre. Its research focuses on the processes that lead to socio-cultural ruptures and the integration of vulnerable groups into society, all from a perspective of human rights protection.

    RESEARCH AREAS DEVELOPED:

    • International migrations, Integration and Social Cohesion.
    • Human Rights, Cultural Diversity and Identities.
    • Human rights, Conflicts and Humanitarian Action.

    Research teamattached to the Sociology and Social Work areaat the University of Deusto as a reference centre. Its research focuses on the analysis and interpretation of social reality based on the analysis of the social values that underpin relationships, condition behaviour and influence the definition of social organisation and its functions. 

     RESEARCH AREAS DEVELOPED:

    • Values, Equality, Social Policy and Well-being

    Research teamattached to the Centre for Applied Ethicsat the University of Deusto as a reference centre. It addresses subject areas related toapplication of ethics in today’s social realities.

    • Social development and transformation.
    • Conflicts and cultures of peace.
