PhD in Law (European University Institute, 2003). She, has lectured in Philosophy of Law and Philosophy of Human Rights at the University of Urbino (Italy). She has worked as freelance expert on different European Commission projects and missions in the field of international cooperation on human rights. Her research and publications focus on Human Rights, anti-discrimination law, feminist legal theory, legal arguments and methodology.

PhD in International and Intercultural Studies, University of Deusto; Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Sociology, University of the Basque Country; Specialist Diploma in International Humanitarian Action-NOHA, UD and University of Uppsala. He has worked with NGOs, governmental and international organisations in the field of international cooperation in Europe and South America. His research currently focuses on human rights, migrations, diversity and religion.

Lecturer in International Public Law at the University of Deusto and researcher at the Pedro Arrupe Institute of Human Rights. Director of the European Master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratisation. He has participated in the UN working group for the elaboration of a Facultative Protocol to the CEDAW (New York, 1998 and 1999). Visiting professor at several European and Latin American universities.

Maite Sagasti coordinates Erasmus Mundus graduate programmes at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Deusto. She holds a BA in History and Cultural Heritage and an MA in Spanish Heritage Management.
