Entrepreneurial self-efficacy

About the Programme

DeustoSTART I is a scholarship programme promoted by Deusto Entrepreneurship and financed by Banco Santander through Santander Universities to develop entrepreneurship and innovation skills among undergraduate students from the second year onwards, whether or not they have a business idea.

It is designed to provide a first approach to entrepreneurial skills and work on participants' entrepreneurial drive and self-efficacy.

For those who want to delve further and develop an entrepreneurial idea, there is DeustoSTART II.

The programme is designed for University of Deusto students in their 3rd and 4th year of their Bachelor’s or Double Bachelor’s degree programmes.

You will learn how to set up business projects through a number of practical activities and workshops.

Share your entrepreneurial experiences and concerns in multidisciplinary teams.

What will you learn?

Course syllabus

01

Welcome, presentation of the programme and team building

Get to know Deusto Emprende and solve your doubts about DeustoSTART I. We will carry out an activity to get to know the new participants and create the teams with which we will work throughout the programme.

Entrepreneurial attitude

Reflect on the meaning of entrepreneurship and learn about the qualities and attitudes that an entrepreneur should have.

Searching for opportunities and generating ideas

Analyse the factors that influence the recognition, development and evaluation of opportunities and immerse yourself in a brainstorming workshop that will help you find a potential business idea.

Business models and idea development

Learn about the existing business models as well as the practical tools for designing an innovative business model. In addition, you will be able to put all this into practice by creating a business model for the identified entrepreneurial idea.

Effective communication and pitch

It delves into the most impactful communication and marketing techniques to carry out an entrepreneurial idea. You will also learn how to communicate your project by identifying the key points to include in a pitch.

Project development and teamwork

Work as a team to apply everything you have seen to the business idea generated.

Innovation, motivation and leadership

Discover the importance of motivation and team management when launching an entrepreneurial idea. You will also learn about different leadership styles and innovation models.

Inspirational closing talk and final presentations

The programme ends with presentations of the projects worked on during the programme, as well as an inspirational session with an entrepreneur.
