A smart digital factory for training in Industry 4.0

This educational scheme called SIF400 consists of a modular structure that allows to create a great variety of products. The plant will allow to simulate all stages of the industrial process: production, handling of components, logistics, control… using sensors, microchips, smart labels, internet of things, data... As a result of this merger between industry and computing, of this dialogue between machines, it will be possible to effectively produce short series, even customised products at a cost similar to that of the mass industry.

All this technological change in production involves a change in the way of working. The new industry 4.0 requires teamwork. This involves collaboration from a wide range of engineering experts from many different fields: industry, electronics, IT and automation. The SIF400 scheme will allow the various groups of engineering graduates to develop these skills that are essential to successfully join Industry 4.0.
