El acto se celebrará en Deusto

25 February 2025

Bilbao Campus

The Library-CRAI of the University of Deusto will host on February 25 the presentation of Patxe ekimena, an initiative promoted by Deusto Cities Katedra and the Directorate for Social Innovation and Agenda 2030 of the Basque Government that seeks the active participation of citizens in building a more sustainable future. To this end, it seeks the involvement and reflection of all people so that, through dialogue and deliberation, progress can be made towards a more democratic governance.

Asier Arambarri, director of Social Innovation and Agenda 2030 of the Basque Government; Ane Ferrán, dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Deusto; Roberto San Salvador del Valle, director of Deusto Cities Katedra; and Nerea Aranbarri, director of international projects of this chair, will participate in the event, which will take place in the Atrium of the CRAI at 12:00 noon.

During the day, key issues such as “the complexity and challenges of the world we live in”, “the answers through the agendas (Agenda 2030, SDGs, New Urban Agenda...)”, “the pH factor: the fundamental role of people”, “the invitation to a common initiative: a common cause” and the “presentation of a proposal: a shared task” will be addressed.

One of the highlights of the meeting will be the participation of Patxe, a special character who will serve as a guiding thread to explore and unravel the Quilt Theory. Through this analogy, which invites us to put people at the center of new paradigms, we will seek to generate a deep and collective reflection on current challenges and opportunities for action.

The main ideas extracted from this working session will serve as a basis for future meetings in which the Patxe Ekimena initiative will continue to develop and expand, promoting the commitment and active participation of society in the construction of a more equitable, cohesive and sustainable future.
