Marta Iraola has shown to 40 Erasmus students of the subject Strategic Distribution Decisions conducted by Esteban Salegi how to build the strategy and the 4 steps to follow to create an Online store.
We also learnt how Artificial Intelligence, and specially ChatGPT, can be used to create an online sales strategy. The more detailed Prompts are described, the better answers we will have. Or Meet-Journey to create images.
We have been able to learn what tools are available in the process of creating the e-commerce strategy with little cost. An example of this is the app to test which are the e-commerce campaigns of our competitors are doing, www.adstransparency.google.com or Facebook.com/ads/library
With a small budget, which Marta estimates starts at €4,000, you can build a good Online store.
The most used platforms for building e-stores are Wordpress WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop and Magento. The first is the cheapest and Magento the most sophisticated and expensive. Although the basic initial WooCommerce platform is free, the reality is that to build a web store with more advanced functionalities you have to purchase different templates, known as Plugins.
We have learnt how to create a correct Keywords strategy with the objective to have a good positioning in Google, known as SEO. With today’s Google algorithm it’s important to have Long tail keywords, with about 5 words in it.
It’s also very important to have a very well Metadescription in the the URL of our e-shop.
We can use tools such as “hotjar” to analyze the behavior of users in our webpage.
