The UD presents the dictionary 'Diccionario por Raíces del Latín y de las voces derivadas', by the expert in classical languages Santiago Segura.

Last 22 May, the Chairman of Euskaltzaindia, Andrés Urrutia, presented the dictionary 'Diccionario por Raíces del Latín y de las voces derivadas', by Santiago Segura Munguía, PhD in Classical Philology, Professor of Latin and Emeritus Professor at the University of Deusto. During his long professional life, he has carried out a large number of studies in the field of classical culture. This Latin dictionary, based on lexical roots or families, aims to be a contribution to the knowledge of the lexicon that the main languages in the European Union and worldwide owe to Ancient Rome. It also seeks to show the close relationship between these languages and the common roots in the Western world.News
