The Financial Times (FT) ranking of the world's top 100 Master’s in Management (MiM) has included Deusto Business School's Master’s in European & International Business Management (EIBM) for the first time. This programme is a joint degree taught with Audencia Business School (France) and the University of Bradford (UK). The EIBM Master’s degree is ranked 45th in the world, the second best ranked of the programmes entering the ranking for the first time.
The FT ranking selects and ranks Master's programmes by evaluating their faculty, graduates' careers, and the quality of the educational experience, among other aspects. Some of the most highly rated aspects of the EIBM by the Financial Times include career progression (4th best position in the world); the international experience provided by the programme (17th position in the ranking); international job mobility (26th) and participants' high level of satisfaction (average of 8.95 out of 10).
The EIBM is an inter-university collaborative programme that was launched in 1990 under the name European Management Programme (EMP) and has been delivered non-stop for 32 years, with around 1,100 graduates from more than 50 different nationalities.
This is the first time EIBM has been included in the FT ranking, as international accreditation is a mandatory requirement; an achievement obtained by Deusto Business School in 2021, the year in which it obtained the AMBA and AACSB seals. Audencia and the University of Bradford also have these two accreditations, which places the three Business Schools collaborating in this programme among the top 2% in the world.
As the Dean of Deusto Business School, Álvaro de la Rica, pointed out “some of the features that have contributed to the inclusion of the EIBM Master in the Financial Times MiM ranking are students’ high degree of employability at the end of the programme, and its specifically international scope: it is taught in three languages, Spanish, French and English and mobility is compulsory between the three countries involved the programme, together with the subsequent progress of participants' professional development and satisfaction".
The Financial Times is not the only ranking that has included Deusto Business School's EIBM in its list of best master's degrees. Forbes magazine, in its list of the best business schools in Spain, has also placed this programme in 2nd place among the top 10 programmes.
