Deusto contributes to the publication of a manual on welcoming human rights defenders in universities.

Researchers from the Pedro Arrupe Institute of Human Rights at the University of Deusto—Felipe Gómez, Gustavo de la Orden, Andrés Celis, and Gorka Urrutia—have contributed to the development of the publication Directrices para universidades en la acogida de defensores de derechos humanos. which is openly available via the following link

Over the course of a year-long process, universities, NGOs, donors, and human rights defenders have collaborated to co-produce these Guidelines. They serve as an invitation for universities to get involved in organising events, a source of inspiration on why this work is important, and a guide with practical tools on how universities can support activists and human rights defenders.
