Ingrid is a PhD candidate for the PhD program in Business Competitiveness and Economic Development (CETIS) at the University of Deusto. She holds an MBA, with a focus on Finance, from the Central American University “José Simeón Cañas” (UCA El Salvador). While pursuing this degree, she was awarded the ‘Central American Scholarship (CAS)’ by the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania for the fall semester of 2018. This opportunity allowed her to enhance her financial and analytical skills. Before starting her PhD position at the University of Deusto, she was part of the Finance and Accounting department as an adjunct professor, at the UCA El Salvador. At the same time, she was working as an analyst for a Norwegian company. She currently holds a ‘Research Training Gran’ (Ayudas FPI), which has enabled her to broaden her research in sustainable finance and the energy transition. Among her other skills, she speaks Spanish, English, and German.
