Senior Lecturer. PhD in Leisure and Human Potential from the University of Deusto. Degree in Psychology, Expert in Therapeutic Pedagogy and Master in Special Education. Since 1994 she has been working in the Chair Leisure and Disability and since 2010 she directs it. She is the current Principal Researcher of the Chair, with a PhD in Leisure and Human Potential from the University of Deusto. She is the current Principal Researcher of the group Leisure, Culture and Tourism for Social Transformation (2022-2025) recognized with category A by the Basque Government. Professor accredited since 2008 by UNIBASQ. She has three six-year periods, two for research and one for social transfer recognized by the CNEAI. She teaches undergraduate courses in Social Work, Nursing and Tourism and postgraduate courses: Official Master's Degree in Leisure Project Management and Master's Degree in Special Learning Needs. Faculty of the Doctorate in Leisure, Culture and Communication for Human Development. She has participated in competitive and concerted regional and national projects. She is author of scientific articles in journals of impact, and co-author of several books. She has supervised 12 doctoral theses on various topics related to leisure in its different fields and disciplinary approaches. He has been invited professor at universities in Brazil (UOL and UFES); Colombia (UNIMINUTO in Bogotá and Universidad Autónoma de Occidente in Cali), Chile (UAB, PUC); Ecuador (UTA and UNIANDES in Ambato) and Quito (UTE); Honduras (UPNFM); Portugal (Aberta de Oporto, Universidade do Aveiro and ESEC Politécnico de Leiria); Uruguay (UCU), among others. He has given many lectures and presented a large number of communications at conferences related to his thematic areas. Her lines of research are related to inclusion in leisure, people with disabilities, mental health, leisure education and the third sector.
