Hugo Sanjurjo-González is Associate Professor in the Department of Information, Electronics, and Communication Technologies at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto. He holds a PhD in Intelligent Systems from the University of León with an international distinction, achieving unanimous Summa Cum Laude honors for his dissertation titled “Development of a Framework for Corpus Analysis.” His teaching experience includes modules in Databases, NLP, Software Engineering, and Intelligent Systems, along with various workshops focused on Computational Linguistics. His research interests are interdisciplinary, encompassing Natural Language Processing (NLP), Corpus Linguistics, and Computational Linguistics. He has specialized in developing software for multilingual corpus processing, creating applications that leverage corpus-based linguistic insights, and annotating corpora. Currently, he is committed to integrating Deep Learning and NLP techniques, with a particular emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs), to enhance linguistic data processing and analysis.
