Bachelor’s degree in Pyschology, University of Deusto (2005) and PhD in Medicine Universidad de Barcelona (2009). Her doctoral thesis, which was completed at the University of Barcelona, examined limbic cerebral changes and their implication in emotional, olfatory and memory dysfunctions found in Parkinson's patients through magnetic resonance imaging. During her pre-doctoral studies in 2007, she spent a research stay at Oxford Centre for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain (FMRIB, University of Oxford, UK) After receiving her PhD diploma in 2010, she was awarded the Luis Barraquer i Bordas 2010 distinction for the best thesis. She later continued her specialism as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Neurology, Hospital Clinic, Centre for Networked Research on Neurodegenerative Diseases (CIBERNED). She is currently researching neuroimaging and neuropsychology associated to Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis. She is principal investigator of several projects on the Neuropsychology of severe medical disorders team at the University of Deusto. Also as Professor at the Psychology Department from the Health Sciences Faculty, she teaches in the Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and the PhD programme at the University of Deusto. She is the director of the Master's degree in Clinical Neuropsychology (official diploma programme).
