Carlos Gil Arbiol holds a BA in Theology and a PhD in Biblical Theology from the University of Deusto. He is currently Senior Lecturer at the University of Deusto, where he teaches at the Bilbao campus.He teaches BA courses in Theology and Religious Sciences, as well as on the Human Education in Values module. Specifically, he teaches the following subjects: Synoptic Gospels, Paul’s Letters and Bible and Culture. His publications focus mainly on the origins of Christianity. In recent years he has been working on the evolution of practices and beliefs in the Origins of Christianity.He forms part of the Origins of Christianity from an Interdisciplinary Standpoint research team, recognised by the University of Deusto.Other areas of research interest include social sciences applied to literary studies and studies of the ancient world.
