José Ignacio García Quintanilla received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and the Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). Since 1998, he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto, Bilbao, where he is in charge of the power electronics and electrical machines laboratory. His teaching activity concentrates on degrees of industrial area in subjects related to electrical power systems. He is also the coordinator of Engineering Degrees in the industrial area (Industrial Technologies, Mechanics and Industrial Organization). His research focuses on the control of drives and electrical machines, on the management and quality of electrical energy and on power electronics applied to the integration of renewable energies into the grid. He is part of the Deusto Sustainable Research Group research team accredited with an A rating by the Basque Government.
