ACADEMIC BACKGROUND -Degree in Law. University of Deusto. Specialisation in Private and Business Law (2000-2005). - Master's Degree in Fundamental Rights and Public Powers. University of the Basque Country UPV/ EHU (October 2012). -Doctorate in Law from three (3) Universities: University of Deusto, Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and Universidad Ramón Llull-ESADE (7 March 2016). Thesis: Legal responses to new manifestations of doping in sport. Supervisors: Carlos María ROMEO CASABONA and Aitziber EMALDI CIRIÓN. * Thesis distinguished with International Mention and Outstanding Cum Laude Mention unanimously and XVI Andalusian Association of Sports Law Legal Award. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE -Researcher -December 2009 to January 2023 (14 years) in the Research Group ‘Cátedra de Derecho y Genoma Humano’, of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. Research Group A and qualified as ‘Excellent’ by the Basque Government. *Grants obtained within the research group: - Postdoctoral of the Basque Government with the Number 1 in the Area of Law (Period: January 2017 - April 2019). Mostly carried out at the Centro de Direito Biomédico of the University of Coimbra. - Postdoctoral Juan de la Cierva of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, with the Number 1 in the Area of Law. *Specific functions (positions) within the research group: -Coordinator of the ‘Revista de Derecho y Genoma Humano. Genetics, Biotechnology and Advanced Medicine / Law and the Human Genome Review. Genetics, Biotechnology and Advanced Medicine’ published as a bilingual publication (Spanish/English) by Editorial Dykinson. - Coordinator of Monographs published by the G. I. Cátedra de Derecho y Genoma Humano together with Editorial Comares. -Researcher -January 2023 to date- Ramón y Cajal of the Ministry of Science and Innovation with Number 1 in the Area of Law in the Research Group ‘European Integration and Property Law in a global context’, University of Deusto. Team recognised as a research group of the Basque University System.
