She is director of the Master Universitario en Recursos Humanos and lecturer in the field of business strategy both in undergraduate and post-graduate studies. Nowadays she lectures on ¿Growth and Corporate Development¿, ¿Strategic Management¿ and ¿Strategic Analysis¿ in Deusto Business School along with "Business Strategy" in various Master´s degrees programmes such as the Master's Degree in European and International Business Management or the Master's Degree in Human Resources, University of Deusto (Official Spanish diplomas). She is also coordinator of the Final Degree Project of the Business Administration and Management Faculty (Bilbao campus).She has been visiting lecturer in Aston University, Birmingham (UK), and in José Simeón Cañas Central American University, San Salvador (El Salvador). She takes part or took part regularly in postgraduate programs of other universities such as El Salvador University, Buenos Aires , Argentina or North Catholic University, Antofagasta, Chile.Professor Freije has developed her academic career in the fields of business strategy since the presentation of her doctoral thesis on searching for business opportunities, in 1993.Until 2009 she also held different management positions in the Business Faculty such as Vice-Dean, Faculty Secretary, Director of the Managerial Development Master, Pedagogical Innovation Coordinator, etc. From 2009 to 2012 she was Director of Planning and Strategy of the Basque Government Department of Industry, Innovation, Tourism and Commerce.She has also worked in different consultancy projects in private and public organisations.
