Almudena Fernández holds a PhD in Education and a MA in Special Education from the University of Deusto. She is a Private University Lecturer and has received positive evaluation by the Evaluation Agency UNIQUAL. She is a lecturer at Faculty of Psychology and Education of the University of Deusto, where she teaches BA courses in Psychopedagogy, Social Education and Primary Education. Specifically, she teaches subjects such as Socio-educational Programme Planning, Social Integration of Youth and Adults with Disabilities, and Education of Students with Mobility Limitations or Sensory Disabilities. Almudena Fernández is the director of the Master's Degree in Social Inclusion and Disability at the University of Deusto. She also teaches MA courses on Social Inclusion and Disability and on Special Educational Needs, both of them taught at the Faculty of Psychology and Education at the University of Deusto. She is part of the Intervention. Quality of Life and Social Inclusion research team at the University of Deusto. She has taken part in many conferences, where she has read papers and reports. She has also been part of the Scientific and Organisation Committees for a number of conferences. Almudena Fernández has been involved in research related to disability and integration in society and work of people with disabilities and other disadvantaged groups.
