She holds a BA in Law from the University of Deusto. She ha been a practising lawyer in the field of counselling and court proceedings relating to family, minors and gender violence courts since 1989. She is a member of the Cáritas Bizkaia legal service. She has worked on volunteer counselling and training since 1990. She has been a lecturer on the Master’s in Intervention and Mediation Concerning Minors in Vulnerable Situation and/or Social Conflict at the University of Deusto since 2001 and was Vice-Dean of the Biscay Bar Association from 2012 to 2016. She has taken part in Justice and Childhood Forums promoted by the Federation of Associations against child abuse (Fapmi). She has delivered training and outreach sessions in the field of social work and social intervention at elderly centres and associations.
