Graduated in Physiotherapy from the University of Valladolid, he stands out for his career as a physiotherapist and researcher in the Medical and Digestive ICUs of the University Hospital of Bordeaux (France) and the Digestive ICU of the University Hospital of Montpellier (France). Roberto is specialized in the management of secretions, mechanical ventilation, and weaning of critically ill patients under invasive mechanical ventilation in the ICU. In parallel, he completed a Master's degree in Respiratory and Cardiac Physiotherapy at the Autonomous University of Madrid and a Master's degree in Research, specializing in Respiratory Medicine, at the University of Barcelona. Recently, in 2022, he obtained a Ph.D. in Medicine and Translational Research from the University of Barcelona, conducting studies on the behavior of pulmonary secretions during invasive mechanical ventilation and the effect of therapies such as mechanical cough assistance in these patients. His presence as a speaker at both national and international conferences is noteworthy. Currently, he is a professor and coordinator of the research methodology department of EU Physiotherapy in Montpellier (France), a lecturer at the University of Deusto (San Sebastián, Spain), and a postdoctoral researcher at Kernel Biomed (Rouen, France)."
