Ana I. Rodríguez Iglesias is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Deusto, at which she teaches the courses International Organizations, Security and Defense and Current International Issues. She holds a PhD in International Relations, specializing in International Politics and Conflict Resolution, from the University of Coimbra. She also earned an MA in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University as a Fulbright scholar, and an MA in European Union Studies from the University CEU San Pablo as a La Caixa scholar. Her research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding, Latin American Research Review, and Colombia Internacional, as well as in book chapters by prestigious international publishers such as SAGE and Palgrave Macmillan. Her research covers the areas of Peace and Conflict Studies, post/decolonial thought, transitional justice, and migration studies. In her professional career, Professor Rodríguez has worked as a gender consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C., and as a doctoral researcher at the Mission to Support the Peace Process in Colombia of the Organization of American States. She has taught at various universities in Colombia and at the International University of Catalonia.
