Lecturer in the Department of Management at Deusto Business School (University of Deusto) in the subject of Strategic Analysis. She has taught for years in Economic Structure (input output tables and national accounting) and management (Business Policy and Organisation) in several PhD programmes (PhD in Advanced Management and PhD in Leisure and Human Potential) as well as in Executive programmes (Master in Finance of the CECA/UD in Madrid and Executive MBA of Inside-University of Deusto in Valladolid and Seville) and in undergraduate programmes. Visiting lecturer at Aston Business School (Birmingham, UK) in the subject: ‘Policy Analysis and Decision Making’. She collaborates with the Interdisciplinary Institute of Leisure Studies of the University of Deusto since its beginning in charge of the area of Leisure Economics. Professor of Economic, Social and Environmental Impacts of Leisure in the Master in Management of Leisure Centres until 2020. Professor Álvarez's field of research is developed in 2 main areas: - On the one hand, economic impact studies and ESG. Understanding the richness of the reciprocal contribution of these areas and deepening in the policies and management models that enable their development. He regularly collaborates with BMASI on consultancy projects for various companies such as Gestamp, Mercadona, Grupo Tubos Reunidos and Iparlat. - And on the other hand, in the field of management models and work organisation in global companies from a perspective of integrating the diverse needs and expectations of all social participants. She has participated in conferences and supervised international theses. She is the author of several publications in ISI Journals, Books, Book Chapters and Cases.
