l.iriarte@deusto.esLeire Iriarte Elejalde holds a degree in Psychology and a PhD in Psychology from the University of Deusto. She is currently a lecturer (PhD) at the University of Deusto in Bilbao. She teaches on the BA programmes in Psychology, Social Education and Social Work. Specifically, she teaches the subjects: Social Psychology, BA in Psychology (2nd year, Basque); Social Psychology on the BA programmes in Social Education and Social Work and double degree (2nd year, Basque); Psychological Interventions and Treatments III on the BA in Psychology (4th year, Basque). She also coordinates and teaches the subjects: Psychological Interventions with Children and Adolescents in Health Contexts, and Dynamic Psychotherapy with Children and Adolescents on the Master’s in General Health Psychology. She coordinates the subjects Ethical and Legal Aspects and Professional Skills on the Master’s in Systemic-Relational Psychotherapy. She is a member of the Deusto Family Psych research team, recognised by the Basque Government. Her publications focus on family functioning, perinatal care and minor adaptation. She currently holds a six-year research period. In recent years, she has been working in private clinical practice, mainly in the care of children and adolescents.
