aitana.fernandez@deusto.esAitana Fernández-Villardón holds a PhD in Education with international mention (qualification Sobresaliente cum laude), a degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in General Health Psychology from the University of Deusto (specialisation in intervention in addictions and in situations of violence) and a Master's degree in Legal Psychology and forensic psychological evaluation from the University of Valencia. She is currently a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Education and Sport at the University of Deusto. She teaches subjects related to the Psychology of Education and Development in the degrees of Primary Education, Social Education and Social Work and master's degrees in the area of Psychology. She has experience in clinical intervention with adults, children and the elderly, as well as in the field of social intervention. She is a member of the eDucaR team, recognised as consolidated by the University of Deusto. Her lines of research focus on the dialogic approach for the promotion of mental health among vulnerable groups, especially among people with mental pathologies. She has participated in research projects of the European Framework Programme (Horizon 2020) as part of the coordinating team (SCIREARLY: Policies and practices based on scientific research for reducing underachievement and early school leaving in Europe) and as a collaborator (IMPROVA: e- intervention enhancing mental health in adolescents) , as well as in Erasmus + projects (Enlarging Successful Educational Actions for All; Rural Virtual Classroom) and in competitive projects of the Spanish Ministry Programmes (INTERACT: Interactive environments for inclusion in contexts of functional diversity: improving development, learning and coexistence; CHILDPRO: It is never too early to prevent gender violence; Evaluation and stigma of gambling disorder from a gender perspective) and national concerted projects. In addition, she was awarded a pre-doctoral grant by the Ministry of Science and Innovation (PRE2018-086876). She has participated in numerous international conferences, such as ECER, Earli, CIMIE or CICFEM. She has also published scientific articles in several high impact journals, such as Psychiatry Research, Community mental health journal, Annals of Psychology, Anxiety and Stress or REMIE: Multidisciplinary Journal of Educational Research. She has carried out stays at different national and international universities such as Ramon Llul (Barcelona, Spain) and Indiana University School of Medicine (Indianapolis, US). She is editor of the International Journal of Educational Psychology (JCR Q3 and SJR Q2) and reviewer of impact journals and international conferences.
