Mari Jose Aranguren holds a PhD in Economics and Business. She is the General Director at Orkestra, Basque Institute of Competitiveness, and lecturer at Deusto Business School.She teaches Microeconomics (in Spanish and Basque) in graduate studies and Cluster and evaluation (in English) in Doctorate Studies.Her research is focused on Regional Competitiveness and public policies to foster competitiveness, areas in which she has an extensive publication record in books and journals. Mari Jose has significant experience in research project leadership and implementation, She has participated in several European projects, such as “European Cluster Observatory Phase II” project funded by the European Commission. She has been chair of international conferences and has participated as assesor of international projects and scientific journals.
